Give a smile to the people who need one most

We are volunteers in Southern Arizona. We bring backpacks and toys to children, care packages to seniors living alone, and emergency help to families going through a hard stretch.

Who we are

Dignity, hope and opportunity

Mission

Regala Una Sonrisa Tucson exists to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity to underserved children, seniors, and families in Southern Arizona by providing essential resources, community support programs, and culturally responsive outreach that improves quality of life and strengthens community well-being.

Vision

To build a compassionate Tucson community where every child smiles, every senior feels valued, and every family has access to the support they need to thrive.

Who we serve

  • Low to moderate income families
  • Underserved Latino and Hispanic communities
  • Seniors on fixed incomes
  • Children in Title I school areas
  • Households in temporary financial hardship
Programs

Three programs, one idea

None of this goes out by mail. Every backpack, every blanket and every box is handed over by a person.

Children and youth

So no low-income child goes without the basics, or without a reason to smile.

  • Holiday drives: toys, clothing and essentials
  • Back-to-school backpacks and supplies
  • Hygiene kits for underserved youth
  • Community events built around them
  • Partnerships with schools and youth groups

Seniors

Less isolation and more dignity for seniors living on very little.

  • Gift and care package distribution
  • Blankets, hygiene kits and household items
  • Holiday visits to seniors living alone
  • Events that bring kids and elders together

Families and emergency relief

Immediate help for families going through a hard stretch.

  • Emergency essentials distribution
  • Referrals that connect families to other resources
  • Seasonal support campaigns
  • Working alongside local churches and nonprofits
Our work

This is what a good day looks like

Every toy gets wrapped before it goes out.
The line starts before we open.
Door to door, until they run out.
Handed over in person, always.
Families take enough for every sibling.
They leave with their hands full.
Helping someone in need is not only part of your duty, it is part of your happiness.
